University of Michigan Issues Crime Alert

ANN ARBOR, MI – The University of Michigan is alerting the public to a sexual UMPD-patch-class-Aassault crime that took place on its campus.

U of M Police have been notified that a student was walking along the Diag – between Kraus Natural Science and Mason Hall – when she was approached by an unknown man.  This individual forcibly touched the female by putting his face in her chest.  The female pushed the man and continued walking.

University of Michigan Police have released the following description of the suspect:

  • Age: 50 – 60 yrs old
  • Race: Black Man with a medium complexion
  • Height:  5ft 4
  • Further Features:  He is hunched over and has short, black hair with a straggly beard.  The suspect was wearing a dark green, long-sleeve shirt and dark pants. He was carrying a red sling-type bag.
