WORTH TOWNSHIP, MI – The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an ATV accident that occurred on Burns Line Road near Babcock Road in Worth Township.
On Sunday, October 5, 2014 at approximately 8:15 p.m. Sanilac County Central Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call reporting an ATV accident. The initial investigation reveals that a 33-year-old Harrison Township man was traveling eastbound on Burns Line Road west of Babcock Road when he lost control on the gravel roadway, ran-off the south shoulder of the road striking a road marker post and then overturning in the ditch.
The driver was transported by Croswell EMS to a Port Huron area hospital in critical condition.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in this crash which remains under investigation.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Lexington Police Department, Lexington Fire/Rescue and Croswell EMS.
