SUPERIOR TOWNSHIP, MI – Superior Twp Deputies were sent to the 1300 block of Stamford on December 3, 2014 regarding a home invasion in progress. Deputies arrived in less than a minute, but were unable to locate a suspect.
Entry was not gained but a window was tampered with. The resident of this location was home at the time of the attempted home invasion.
While still investigating that complaint, an alert resident called 911 regarding a subject attempting to break into a different residence in the 8600 Block of Kingston Ct and was able to describe the suspect’s clothing. While in route to that complaint a Deputy spotted the suspect leaving the area.
The suspect attempted to flee but was quickly tackled by one of the responding Deputies. After a short struggle with multiple Deputies, the suspect was taken into custody on multiple counts of Attempted Home Invasion.
No one was seriously injured during the struggle. The suspect is also a wanted Parole Absconder, previously jailed for Home Invasion. Other felony and misdemeanor charges in reference to this incident will be submitted to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s office. An outstanding job by the eyewitness who called 911 and other witnesses who stepped forward with information.
