Kalamazoo Police Bust Two Men on Meth Charges

KALAMAZOO, MI – On Saturday, February 21st, 2015, at approximately 8:30 am Kalamazoo Public Safety officers were working off information they had received regarding a subject’s involvement in methamphetamine.  Meth Bust

Officers observed a vehicle being driven by the suspect, in the 3700 block of Vanrick Dr.  A traffic stop was conducted just a few blocks away from where they initially observed the vehicle.

Officers located the methamphetamine components within the vehicle.

While Officers were conducting their investigators, authorities secured a motel room for a possible search warrant application.  While waiting for the traffic stop investigation to be completed, another vehicle pulled into the same area officers had been watching.  Police made contact with the driver, finding he was in possession of methamphetamine, packaging material and a digital scale, all items used for the sale of controlled substances.

Officers continued their investigation inside a motel room where the first suspect had been staying. After obtaining consent, additional methamphetamine components, methamphetamine, and marijuana were found.

The suspects were identified as Kalamazoo residents, both in their late 20’s.  Both were lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail.  One subject was lodged for the charge of Operating and Maintaining a Meth Lab, and the other lodged for Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine.
