Battle Creek Police investigating Two Incidents possibly Connected

BATTLE CREEK, MI – The Battle Creek Police Department and Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office are investigating two separate incidents that occurred over the weekend. Armed Robbery

The first incident was received by the Sheriff’s Office on Friday, February 27th, 2015, which involved an assault/armed robbery that occurred in the 700 block of N. 20th St.

The second incident received by BCPD on Sunday, March 1st, 2015, involved a possible arson in the 800 block of W. Michigan Ave.

After the initial investigations occurred, it was determined that the two incidents could possibly be connected.

Authorities believe these incidents to be isolated in nature. They want everyone to be assured that the Major Crimes Task Force is actively investigating all leads.

Today the Calhoun County Major Crimes Task Force has been activated to streamline the investigation. This is an ongoing active investigation; no further information is being released at this time.
