STERLING HEIGHTS, MI – He is 20-years-old and is accused of committing two murders and a felony assault.
It is alleged that Marcus Kragness killed his grandfather, Jerome Pastuszak, 79-years-old, his uncle, Mark Pastuszak, 44-years-old and critically injuring his grandmother, 71-year-old Sandy Pastuszak.
Kragness had recently moved from North Carolina to Michigan to look for a job. He had been living in the home in Sterling Heights at 39128 Lea Court with his uncle and grandparents about two weeks prior to the crimes being committed.
Marcus Kragness was formally charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of assault with intent to commit murder.
It was on Monday, August 31st, 2015 that he is accused of committing the crimes. The grandmother called 911 to report her grandson was out of control and assaulting his relatives in the home. No motive has been revealed as to why he would commit such a horrific act.
He is being held without bond, and a probable cause hearing is set for 9 a.m. September 14th, 2015. He will receive a court-appointed attorney.
If convicted, he is facing life in prison without parole.
