WYOMING, MI – On Tuesday, December 8th, 2015, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the Wyoming Department of Public Safety responded to the report of a vehicle/pedestrian accident on South Division Avenue and 43rd Street.
The crash happened in the southbound lanes when a 54-year-old Kentwood man, Warren Costley, walked out in front of a 1998 gray GMC Safari driven by a 32-year-old female who is a resident of Wyoming.
Witnesses told investigators that Costley was crossing westbound across South Division Avenue when he walked into traffic and was struck.
Costley was transported to the hospital where he died about 5 hours later.
Speed nor alcohol appear to be factors in the accident.
