Bomb Threat at Clarkston High School

INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, MI – Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Clarkston High School located on the 6000 block of Flemings Lake Road in Independence Township for a bomb threat called into the school by an unidentified male caller on Tuesday, January 12th, 2016 at approximately 1:00 p.m.   Bomb Threat

School officials placed the school in lockdown until the threat could be assessed.  K-9 bomb dogs were called to the scene to search the school for any devices/explosives.  K-9’s from OCSO, West Bloomfield, Southfield, and Macomb County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene and conducted a search of the school and no devices or explosives were located.

The school was cleared and school officials removed the lockdown status.   The school resumed classes without further incident.  The investigation continues at this time.
