CALVIN TOWNSHIP, MI – The Cass County Drug Enforcement Team on Wednesday, February 17th, 2016, made a traffic stop on a vehicle near Guyer Rd and Union Rd that was driven by a subject suspected of manufacturing methamphetamine.
A search was conducted on the vehicle and detectives located methamphetamine, marijuana and methamphetamine paraphernalia. A subsequent search was done at the driver’s residence located in the 17000 block of Brownsville Rd in Calvin Township.
In a pole barn on the property detectives located an active one pot methamphetamine lab, 12 one pot methamphetamine labs, methamphetamine components and paraphernalia, marijuana, and a loaded firearm. 8 more one pot methamphetamine labs were located on the property near a shed in the woods.
The driver, 34-years-old, was arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine, maintaining a meth lab, maintaining a lab producing hazardous waste, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, and felony firearms.
The driver’s name is being withheld pending arraignment.
The investigation is still on going at this time.
