SOUTHFILED, MI – A 36-year-old man was killed in a crash on I-696 in Southfield on April 5th, 2016.
The accident happened around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday on westbound I-696 between Greenfield and Southfield Roads.
Michigan State Police said Michael Julius Sadach, 36-years-old, of Madison Heights, was driving a Ford Fusion when he lost control of his vehicle and slammed into an Oakland County road crew’s maintenance truck. It appears that speed may have been a factor in the accident
Michael Sadach was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the soul occupant of the vehicle.
No road crew workers were hurt. The accident remains under investigation.
Mike was born on May 7, 1979 in Madison Heights. He is a son of Michael A. Sadach and Melinda Talbert (nee Beaudoin). After completing high school, Mike attended Oakland Community College. He worked as a journeyman electrician. Mike enjoyed rollerblading, building and repairing computers, playing music as a D.J and playing RPG video games in his spare time. He loved socializing and making friends. Mike lived for being around his friends and family and would host parties in his back yard to be able to spend time with the people he cared about the most. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Mike is survived by his father, Michael A. Sadach; mother, Melinda Talbert; sister, Melanie Greer; brother, John Sadach; niece, Madison Greer and nephew, Matthew Greer.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Hauss-Modetz Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank, Macomb (North of 21 Mile).
