Detroit Police Seek Information about Armed Robbery of Dollar Tree Store (Video)

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an Armed Robbery that occurred on the city’s east side.Detroit Dollar Store Armed Robbery Suspect

On Sunday, April 24th, 2016, at approximately 7:55 p.m., in the 17000 block of East Warren, just west of Mack Avenue, an unknown suspect entered the Dollar Tree, approached an employee and started a conversation. The suspect then produced a weapon and ordered the employee to the front of the store. A second employee was observed inside the store and both were ordered into the office. The suspect demanded that the safe be opened, took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency and fled on foot. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a black male, 30-35, dark complexion, 6’2”, 245 lbs. large build, with a full beard and mustache, wearing a gray baseball cap with a black bill, black jacket, black pants and black shoes, armed.
