MONROE TOWNSHIP, MI – Monroe County Sheriff Dale Malone reports the arrest of a 19-year-old Monroe man on multiple criminal charges stemming from an incident that occurred at an apartment complex in Monroe Township on Tuesday, May 10th, 2016.
Phillip Price, a 19-year-old Monroe man, was observed driving a car that had been reported stolen two days prior. Deputy Mike McClain, a member of the newly formed Monroe Vice Team, converged on the area and located the man inside the stolen car. Deputy McClain ordered the man from the vehicle. Those commands were ignored and the man sped off while Deputy McClain continued pursuit.
Deputies Joseph Mravec and Tim George responded to assist and the deputies were able to corner the man and prevent him from fleeing further.
Phillip Price was placed under arrest and lodged at the Monroe County Jail for possession of stolen property, fleeing & eluding police, resisting arrest, and various drug offenses. Phillip Price was arraigned in First District Court.
