Serial Armed Robbery Suspect Strikes Again in Detroit

DETROIT, MI – Detroit Police are putting out a warning about a serial armed robbery suspect and they are asking the public to help them put him behind bars.Family Dollar Robberies

Information about the suspect was released by authorities on Thursday, May 26th, 2016.  Until today he had been focusing on committing armed robberies at Family Dollar stores on the east side of the city.

The same subject is believed to have robbed an Auto Zone also on the east side today, Saturday, May 28th. This is his fourth armed robbery that police are aware of.

Residents and businesses are warned that he will likely strike again if not caught first.  As the suspect is able to commit more armed robberies, he will be more brazen and the statistics become greater that an innocent person could get seriously hurt or worse.

Detroit Police state that his crime spree started on Friday, May 20th, 2016 at approximately 4:15 p.m., when he robbed a Family Dollar in the 14300 block of Gratiot.  He then stuck again on Saturday, May 21st, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. when he held up the second Family Dollar store in the 12500 block of Morang.  His third armed robbery occurred the same day at 4:30 p.m., when he hit another dollar store in the 8700 block of E. 7 Mile Rd.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20’s armed with a nickel-plated handgun possibly leaving the locations in a silver or gray vehicle.

The suspect in the photos should be considered Armed and Dangerous.
