Two Women Shot and Killed in SW Detroit

UPDATE: Detroit Police seek Help to Locate Double Murder Suspect

Detroit Police are looking for the soon to be ex-husband of one of the two women.  The two women were shot and killed outside of a home near Cahalan and Mullane streets, around 3 a.m., on July 9th, 2016.  That is near Vernor Hwy and Springwells Street.

Detroit Police have identified one of the victims as Nay Martinez, 27-years-old.

Three people had been out for the night.  The driver, Nay Martinez, had just parked the car, when the suspect ran out from between two houses and opened fire while they sat in the car.

The second victim is a 45-year-old woman whose name has not yet been released.

The suspect, who had learned where his wife had been living at, ran out from between two houses, where he then allegedly shot and killed the 45-year-old woman.

Martinez tried to drive away but the gunman went after her, shooting and killing her as well.

The third person, a man, who is said to be one of the victim’s boyfriends, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was not injured.

The gunman is described as being Hispanic, 41-years-old and was driving a silver and blue Chevy Camero.
