Detroit Police seek Assistance to find Man who Pointed Gun (Updated)

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department is seeking thSteven Drake Edwards Jr.e public’s assistance in locating a black male suspect wanted in connection with a felonious assault of a 23-year-old male victim in the 22000 Block of Lyndon.

UPDATE: Detroit Man in Custody for Pointing Gun at Innocent Victim

On July 12, 2016 at approximately 5:00 p.m., the victim was exiting the Brightmoor Liquor, Beer & Wine Store when the suspect, a passenger of a parked red vehicle, called him over to the car. As the victim approached the vehicle, the suspect pointed a handgun at him then began yelling derogatory remarks, slurs and demands. The victim ducked out of the direction of the weapon and immediately walked away.


The suspect has been identified as Steven Drake Edwards, Jr. He is a black male, 19-years-old, 6’5”, long dark brown hair, mustache and goatee, medium complexion, last seen shirtless and armed with an unknown type handgun.

Detroit Police is seeking assistance in locating the suspect.
