Once on scene, police located Rashawad Kidd, 23-years-old, who was found to have been shot multiple times. Kidd died as a result of his injuries.
A short time later a suspect was identified and arrested. That suspect, Javonte Ramone McCree-Brown, 21-years-old, is charged with first-degree murder, assault with intent to murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, possession of firearms by a felon and felony firearm.
Flint Police said McCree-Brown shot himself in the foot while committing the crime. He then went to Hurley Medical Center for treatment. Police arrested him at the hospital because he fit the description of the shooter that witnesses gave investigators.
