Speeding Woman Killed in Crash on Detroit’s West side

DETROIT, MI – A woman speeding in a white minivan was killed when her vehicle slammed into a newer model black pickup truck causing a horrific crash.

The crash occurred at Hubble and West Chicago at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14th, 2017.

Reports are that the female driver blew through a red light causing the accident.

It brought traffic in the area to a halt when street lights quit working after power lines were brought down due to the crash.  The minivan hit a business sign at the intersection. The truck ended up with a power line pole crashing down on top of its cab.

The victim was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.  Her name has not yet been released.

The driver of the pickup truck was able to walk away from the accident unhurt.
