Suspect Arrested for Fatal Shooting on Runyon Street in Detroit

DETROIT, MI – A suspect has been arrested for the fatal shooting that occurred in the 19000 block of Runyon Street just after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17th, 2017.

DeQuan Kemp, 23-years-old, of Detroit, has been arrested for the murder of Emmitt Conner, 41-years-old, who was found lying in the grass outside of his home after family members heard gunshots.  Kemp was taken into custody Sunday nigh after he was seen at the scene of the shooting.

Other circumstances surrounding the shooting are not immediately known at this time.

Emmitt Conner was a father of five children.  He died at the hospital after he was found with several gunshot wounds.
