18 yr old gets Lengthy Prison Sentence for Burlington Coat Factory at Eastland Mall Murder

DETROIT, MI – 18-year-old Demetrius Armour was sentenced to serve between 40 and 60 years in prison for the murder of Tyrell Lane outside the Burlington Coat Factory at Eastland Mall.

Armour was found guilty of one count of first-degree murder. He maintained his innocence during his sentencing hearing.

Brendon Stanton-Lipscomb, 19-years-old, Demetrius Armour, 18-years-old, and Tyshon Taylor, 18-years-old, were all charged in the December 2015 shooting that ended with the death of another teen, 18-year-old Tyrell Lane.

Tyrell Lane was leaving Burlington Coat Factory when he was shot and killed on December 26th of 2015.

Tyler Tate goes on trial before a jury in March.
