ROSEVILLE, MI – At approximately 10:30 p.m., on Tuesday, April 4th, 2017, a man crossing Gratiot Avenue in Roseville was struck and killed by a vehicle.
The 39-year-old man was hit and killed while crossing the street on Gratiot, just north of Frazho, by a 58-year-old man from Warren. Though it is unconfirmed at this time, the victim may have been jaywalking when he was struck and killed. The victim’s name has not yet been released.
Police say the victim was struck on the northbound side of the road. The lanes were shut down for several hours while authorities conducted their investigation.
The driver of the vehicle did stop at the scene and is cooperating, according to police. He was just on his way to work when the tragic accident occurred.
