Maryland Man Arrested for Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material

EAST LANSING, MI – A Maryland man was arrested for Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material in Ingham County on Wednesday.

An investigation conducted by the Michigan State Police (MSP) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and the Maryland State Police Internet Crimes Against Children has resulted in the arrest of a Maryland man.

David Kron, 53-years-old, was taken into custody Wednesday, April 5th, 2017, by officers from the East Lansing Police Department and troopers from the Lansing Computer Crimes Unit.

The investigation stemmed from a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children Cyber Tip in Maryland. Further investigation led to locating the possible suspect in the Lansing area. A search warrant was issued for a residence in East Lansing and multiple devices were seized.

Kron has been charged with three counts of possession of child sexually abusive material and one count of using a computer to commit a crime. He was arraigned in 54B District Court in East Lansing on all counts and issued a $50,000 cash or surety bond.
