[ UPDATE:  As of 4:00 a.m. on Thursday April 27th, 2017 — It appears that the Go Fund Me account has been removed or deactivated.  No further information is available at this time as to what the status is on that account. ]

DETROIT, MI – The family of James Saltmarshall, 22-years-old, of Detroit, who is accused and charged with the death of his eight-month-old infant daughter Janiyah Saltmarshall, has established a Go Fund Me account to assist with his legal fees.

It states “My son needs help with a lawyer”.  “My son is accused of something he did not do and the sad part is proof is out and he’s still being held”.

The probable cause conference that was scheduled for him in 22nd District Court before Judge Sabrina Johnson has been delayed or adjourned because he did not have any legal representation for him in court this morning.

James Saltmarshall appeared on video in the court room. He was only allowed to say his name when Judge Johnson told him he had no lawyer and that they would have to adjourn court until the 3rd of May to get him one.

If you do not wish to contribute, that is fine as well.  You are only asked to be respectful of the family in this unfortunate situation.
