BRIDGEPORT TOWNSHIP, MI – Detectives from the Michigan State Police Tri-City Post have arrested a twenty-eight year old male and an eighteen year old male in connection with an investigation into a home invasion that occurred on Williamson Rd in Bridgeport Township on April 24, 2016.
On April 24, 2016, the two male suspects broke into an apartment wearing masks and held the two victims at knife point. The suspects forced the victims to drive to a local ATM machine in the victim’s vehicle where the victim withdrew money. After receiving money from the victims, they drove to a remote location in Saginaw where the victims were told to exit the vehicle. The suspects then fled in the victim’s vehicle.
The victim’s vehicle was located the following day parked at an apartment complex in Saginaw and was found unoccupied.
During the investigation, two suspects were developed. These two suspects were interviewed and they both confessed to being involved in the incident.
As a result of the investigation, Saginaw Prosecutors issued criminal charges on both of them. Both subjects are lodged in the Saginaw County Jail on unrelated charges. They will both be arraigned on one count of home invasion – 1st degree, two counts of conspiracy general, one count of robbery – armed, one count of assault with intent to rob while armed, two counts of kidnapping and one count of carjacking.
