St. Clair County Sheriff looking for Home Invasion Suspect

CLYDE TOWNSHIP, MI – The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a person of interest following a home invasion, assault and stolen vehicle incident last night, Friday April 28th, 2017.

According to Sheriff Tim Donnellon, the incident occurred shortly before 8:00 p.m. Friday in the 5500 block of Carrigan Road. The victim, a 78 year old woman, told deputies she heard a loud bang, and then saw a person standing in the room. The victim was tied up and suffered numerous injuries.

She was transported by Tri-Hospital EMS to McLaren Port Huron Hospital. The suspect stole a debit card from the home and took the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle was located a short time later in the parking lot of Wadhams Pharmacy.

Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office are trying to locate Anthony Christopher Spencer, a 50 year old man who does not currently have a permanent address, but it is believed he has ties to the Croswell and Port Huron areas.

It is believed that Spencer may have been involved in the home invasion, assault and theft of the victim’s vehicle. If you know the whereabouts of Spencer, please contact St. Clair County Central Dispatch at (810) 987-1744.
