Macomb County Sheriff asking for Help to Identify Home Invasion Suspect

MOUNT CLEMENS, MI – Sheriff Anthony Wickersham reports that his detectives are investigating a Home Invasion and assault that occurred in the 500 block of Clinton River Dr. in the City of Mount Clemens. The incident occurred at approximately 8:40 a.m. Friday, April 21st, 2017.

The victim is a 36-year-old female who reported that she had returned home from dropping off her children at school and saw her husband off to work around 8:30 a.m. The break in occurred shortly after her husband had departed for work.

She indicated that she was in the upstairs portion of the home when she heard the front door of the home being kicked in. She confronted the suspect whom she identified as black male, 20-30 years of age, 5’10” and having a medium build. She described his clothing as a black Carhartt style coat and black work boots.

The victim reported that the suspect was holding a handgun when she confronted him near the home’s stairway. She said she was struck at least two times in the head with this handgun and was rendered unconscious. When she awoke she noticed that her cellular telephone was smashed and she drove herself to her parent’s home in the City of Eastpointe. She was then transported to St. John’s Hospital – Detroit, MI. for treatment.

The victim’s father returned to the Clinton River address and called the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded and an investigation ensued.
