Romulus Police looking for Suspect after 13 yr old is Shot

ROMULUS, MI – Romulus Police are looking for a suspect after a shooting on Thursday, June 1st, 2017 near the entrance ramp of westbound Interstate 94.

The shooting occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. Thursday night on Wayne Road near the entrance ramp of westbound Interstate 94.

Police describe the man as a white male, 25-30-years-old, who was in a vehicle when he opened fire on another vehicle that was occupied by four teenagers. One of the teens, a 13-year-old male, was struck in the shoulder by the gunfire.

The suspect has a medium-to-heavy build and a scraggly, thin beard. H was described as was wearing a red baseball cap with a white logo. He was said to be driving a newer model, small silver car.

Previously Romulus Police had released a photo of a possible vehicle that they were looking for.  That vehicle and the driver were identified, questioned and found not to be involved in the case.
