SOUTHFIELD, MI – One of the more recognizable reporters to grace the TV airwaves in the Detroit market has come back home and we could not be happier to welcome her with open arms.
Andrea Isom submitted her immediate resignation from WJBK, Fox 2 News Detroit, effective January 7th, 2015. She went on to be a correspondent with Crime Watch Daily.
Her bio on the Crime Watch Daily website stated at the time the following:
Andrea Isom is an Emmy Award®-winning reporter who worked for ten years at FOX Detroit where she earned a name covering major stories like the Underwear Bomber, The Detroit Squatters Scandal and an international prostitution ring. Her distinctive confrontational style of reporting has been called “gritty,” “edgy” and “unconventional,” while her take on tough stories helped to make local headlines covering crimes, the violation of victims and the spirit of the underdogs and the courage of Detroit’s heroes. She was the first Detroit reporter ever to be featured on the Crimestoppers billboard. Isom’s journalism career began in Dayton, Ohio, before stops in upstate New York and Kansas City, Missouri. Isom is a graduate of Ohio State University and lives in Los Angeles, California. Follow Isom on Twitter @IsomTV and Facebook.
We missed our daily dose of Andrea Isom on the ‘Edge’ on Fox 2 Detroit but she has returned home to join WXYZ – Channel 7 Action news.
