Fenton Man arrested for 10th time on Drunk Driving charges near Ludington

LUDINGTON, MI – A 52-year-old Fenton Man was arrested near Ludington on Monday July 3rd, 2017, at 1:31 PM, for driving while suspected of be drunk after he crashed his vehicle in Free Soil Township.

Joseph Edward Booker, 52-years-old, of Fenton, was arrested for the 10th time on charges of Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated and Driving while License Suspended, 3rd offense, after he crashed his vehicle near North Custer Road & East County Line Road.

Booker reportedly ran off the road and into a ditch. A roadside breath test revealed an alcohol level of .28%.

In the state of Michigan, those who operate a motor vehicle on public roadways and are found to have a BAC (blood alcohol content) of 0.17% or higher may be charged with a Super Drunk OWI offense. If convicted, he could face a very harsh punishment, including enhanced penalties.

Joseph Booker remains lodged in the Mason County Jail on a $15,000.00 cash/surety bond.
