Two Huron County Men Arrested after Drug Related Traffic Stop

PIGEON, MI – Last Tuesday night, July 25th, 2017, the Huron County Sheriff’s office took 2 local men into custody after being stopped in the Village of Pigeon.

The stop was the result of a lengthy drug investigation involving the sale of marijuana. Arrested were a 37-year-old man from Bad Axe on a felony charge of delivery of marijuana and a 35-year-old man from Caseville on a parole violation from a previous drug conviction. The Bad Axe man eventually posted a $5000 or 10% bond to be released and as of the time of this release, the Caseville man remains in jail.

A search warrant of the Bad Axe man’s N. Van Dyke address in Sheridan Twp. was served the following day, which resulted in the confiscation of 83 non-compliant medical marijuana plants. However, several other compliant medical marijuana plants were left behind. In all during the course of the stop to the search of the residence, the confiscation also included a Cadillac Escalade, recording equipment and cash. The investigation has been ongoing since and will continue with further charges likely being requested.

Assisting with this investigation was the Bad Axe City Police.
