HOLT, MI – Thomas Michael McClellan, 25-years-old, of Holt, has been sentenced to life in prison without a chance of parole in the November 2016 murder of his 5-year-old stepdaughter.
Thomas McClellan was accused of killing his 5 year old stepdaughter, Luna Michelle Younger, and then setting a fire to destroy evidence of the killing. The Lansing-area man told police he killed his 5-year-old stepdaughter after she interrupted his nap.
During a recorded confession played during the trial, McClellan said he killed the little girl because she interrupted his nap when she woke him up because she was hungry and wanted a snack.
McClellan was charged with Open Murder, 1st Degree Child Abuse, and 1st degree Arson.
