DEARBORN, MI – On Wednesday, August 30th, 2017, at approximately 10:45pm, Dearborn police officers attempted to stop a Dodge Caravan that had been reported stolen out of the City of Detroit one day earlier.
The Dodge fled from officers and crashed into a vehicle in the area of Maple Street and Warren Avenue. The three juvenile occupants of the Dodge fled the scene on foot, but were apprehended a short time later. The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries in the crash and was transported to an area hospital.
Inside the stolen Dodge were numerous stolen credit cards and the Dearborn Police are currently attempting to contact the owners of the stolen cards.
Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad stated, “The three juveniles involved in this crime spree victimized and endangered innocent people from across our region. The Dearborn Police Department is committed to working with our local, state and federal partners to safeguard people’s lives and property.”
