DETROIT, MI – On Thursday June 17th, 2010, Demarco Harris, who was only 13-years-old at the time, was sentenced to juvenile detention until he turned 21 for the murder of a Davision Michigan woman in Detroit.
Harris was found guilty earlier that year of murdering Trisha Babcock during a robbery. The 24-year-old woman was shot to death inside her parked car in Detroit on August 1st, 2009.
He was convicted in 2010 of Felony Murder, Assault with Intent to Commit Robbery Armed, and Felony Firearm.
On Friday, September 15, 2017, Demarco Harris, who is now 21-years-old, will have his final review hearing before Judge Virgil C. Smith in the Lincoln Hall of Justice at 9:00 a.m. At the final hearing the court determines if the best interests of justice are served by imposing any other sentence provided by law for an adult offender.
