Detroit Police asks for Leads in East side Robbery case [Updated]

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted in connection of a robbery that occurred on the city’s east side.

On September 5th, 2017, at 6:10 a.m., the male suspect entered the local business located in the 1900 block of East Jefferson and approaches the front counter. After a brief conversation with the female employee, he demands money from the drawer. A weapon was not seen, but the suspect implied that he had one. The suspect then flees the location on foot with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.

The suspect is described as a black male, 35, 5’-9” – 6’-1”, 200 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, grey sweater with a hood and black pants.
