Livingston County Sheriff searching for Man with Violent history

HOWELL, MI – On Thursday October 12th, 2017, at approximately 3:00PM, the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office received information that Edward Franklin Hulbert, 38-years-old, was at an address on Bates Street in the city of Howell.

It was learned that Edward Hulbert has two outstanding felony warrants for his arrest. One for a probation violation -felony assault- and one for aggravated stalking.

That information coupled with Hulbert’s lengthy violent criminal past caused the activation of the Sheriff’s Tactical Response Team. That team was assisted by Howell Police as well as Green Oak, Brighton and Hamburg Tactical Response Team – South East Livingston Special Response Team.

Upon making contact with two people inside of the residence, one was taken into custody on outstanding warrants. The second was detained, questioned and released.

Edward Hulbert was not found to be inside of the home as suspected and remains at large.

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance from the public to help locate Mr. Hulbert.

Edward Hulbert is considered violent and at this time could have access to weapons. It is unknown if he is traveling in a vehicle.

Hair: Red
Eyes: Brown
Height: 5′ 10″
Weight: 180 lbs.
Age: 38-years-old
Based on records from the Michigan Department of Corrections, Edward Hulbert has previous convictions for:
  • Domestic Violence- Aggravated, 2nd
  • Assault by Strangulation or Suffocation
  • CSC – Assault With Intent to Commit Sexual Penetration
