Washtenaw County Sheriff locates reported Suspicious school bus [Updated]

YPSILANTI, MI – This morning, Thursday October 19th, 2017, at around 7:20am, the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a suspicious school bus in the area of Tyler and Buick in Ypsilanti Township.

The districts name had been spray painted over and when the student did not get on the bus the driver sped off.

At this time deputies are working to locate and confirm if the bus is assigned to a particular district/school or what the drivers motives may have been.

A short time ago deputies located the bus and have confirmed that it belongs to a transportation company. It was also confirmed that the route and timing of the bus was consistent with the job they were contracted to do.

The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Offices wants to thank all of those that called in and helped¬†officers locate the bus.
