Oxford Township Man admits to breaking into Neighbors House then Tased by Police for Resisting Arrest

OXFORD TOWNSHIP, MI – On Sunday evening, just after 11:30PM, Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 100 block of Brabb Rd. on the report of a Home Invasion.

Upon arrival, Deputies spoke with the complainant who stated that his neighbor broke into his home while he and his wife were sleeping.  The homeowner confronted the suspect who then fled the residence.  Deputies located the 38-year-old man at his home.  The suspect admitted that he had broken into his neighbor’s home using his ID card to bypass the locked door.

Deputies advised the suspect that he was being placed under arrest.  The man was ordered to place his hands behind his back.  The suspect refused and began fighting with Deputies.  A Deputy deployed his Taser to gain control of the suspect.  The suspect was then taken into custody.  He was transported to the Oakland County Jail where he was lodged pending the issuance of criminal charges.
