PONTIAC, MI – A 29-year-old Pontiac man became the victim of a drive-by shooting on Friday January 5th, 2018 at about 3:45pm.
Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Waterford Regional Fire Department responded to the 30 block of Starlite Lane on a reported shooting.
Upon arrival, Deputies located the man lying on the ground bleeding from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by Paramedics to McLaren Hospital – Oakland for medical care.
The victim was subsequently pronounced dead by a hospital physician.
Detectives and the Sheriff’s Office Forensic Science Laboratory responded to process the scene. It appears that an unknown suspects(s) fired at the victim while he was in front of the residence. Shell casings from a semi-automatic hand gun were recovered.
Deputies located possible witnesses to the incident. Deputies transported thwitnesses to the Pontiac Substation to speak with Detectives.
Detectives will be continuing with the investigation.
