PONTIAC, MI – On Wednesday, January 31st, 2018 the Alliance for Housing, Oakland County Continuum of Care will be conducting the annual Homeless Street Count (homeless population).

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires that this count take place in every county. The count helps to determine funding allocations for homelessness prevention and solutions.

On any given night, there are approximately 3,000 individuals in Oakland County with no place to call home. This includes families, with young children.
