Police Seek Information on the Fatal Shooting of a Business Owner

DETROIT, MI – Detroit Police are searching for two individuals who shot and killed a business owner in a used auto parts store today.

The Detroit Police is seeking the public’s assistance in locating and identifying two unknown suspects wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on the city’s west side.

On March 19, 2018 at approximately 11:00 a.m. in the 12100 block of Coyle, two unknown male suspects entered the local business (Metro Cores Auto Repair Shop) and demanded money from the victims (males, 27 & 57) at gunpoint. After taking an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency, one of the suspects shot the 57-year old male victim, striking him in the body. Both suspects then fled the location in a green Jeep Cherokee. The Jeep was later recovered in the 12000 block of Whitcomb. The victim was transported to a local hospital by medics where he expired.

Suspect’s description:

Suspect 1, is described as a black male, early 30’s, 6’3”, medium build, wearing green hoodie, camo pants, tan boots, red face masked, armed.

Suspect 2, is described as a black male, 20’s, 6’1”, slim build, wearing a hoodie, black and gray jogging pants and black shoes gym shoes, black face mask, armed.
