Domestic Dispute turns Deadly in Inkster

INKSTER, MI – On Thursday March 29th, 2018 at approximately 6:15 AM, the Inkster Police Department (IPD) was dispatched to 255 Cherry Valley Dr, Apt. L1, for a domestic dispute between a male and female. Upon arrival, IPD entered the apartment through an unlocked door after no one answered. They checked the apartment and located a woman dead with apparent gunshot wounds to the head/shoulder area.murder

After IPD contacted the neighbors who called 91,1 they learned the neighbors heard loud noises and then the suspect brought over his 4-year-old son and asked them to take care of him because he and his girlfriend were fighting and also asked the neighbors to call 911.

The suspect then left the apartment complex and a short time after MSP detectives arrived on scene they learned the suspect had turned himself in at the Detroit Police Department 9th Precinct.

The suspect was then taken into custody and since has been transported to IPD for an interview.
