Two Injured in St. Clair County Head-On Crash

CLYDE TOWNSHIP, MI – Two people were injured in a head-on crash Monday morning in Clyde Township.Police Marz Lights

According to St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon, deputies were called to investigate a crash on Vincent Road, south of Maitland Road at 7:00 a.m. When they arrived, they discovered a 1997 Chevrolet pickup had been travelling southbound on Vincent, crossed the centerline and struck a 2002 Ford Focus, which was heading northbound.

The driver of the pickup, a 22 year old man from Brown City, had to be extricated from the truck by members of the Fort Gratiot Fire Department. Both he and the driver of the Focus, a 46 year old Port Huron Township woman, were transported to McLaren Port Huron Hospital by Tri-Hospital EMS with undisclosed injuries.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
