PONTIAC, MI – A school custodian was placed on administrative leave after it was discovered he and a female student were having an alleged inappropriate relationship.
At 9:33PM on November 15th, 2018, Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Carriage Circle on the report of obscene materials being texted to a 16-year-old girl. The text messages had been intercepted by the girl’s mother, who then reported the incident to the authorities.
The female, who is a student at Pontiac High School, has been exchanging inappropriate text messages of a sexual nature with a 30-year-old custodian who works at the school. The text messages that were being transmitted contained sexually explicit pictures of both the female student and the janitor.
The Pontiac School District suspended the custodian. Detectives were able to speak with the suspect regarding the allegations. The suspect admitted to sending photographs to the female student.
Both parties admitted that communication between them via text messaging and it has been going on for approximately one week. There was no sexual contact between the two.
Detectives were notified and will be presenting the matter to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office for the issuance of possible criminal charges.
