Box Cutter Wielding Wife Assaults Husband in Oakland County

ADDISON TOWNSHIP, MI – A 76-year-old Oxford man is fortunate that he was not injured more than he was when his 57-year-old wife attacked him with a box cutter on Tuesday, November 27th, 2018.

At approximately 9:15AM Tuesday morning Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence on Lake George Rd for an assault that had just occurred.

Upon their arrival, Deputies spoke with the victim who stated that his wife had assaulted him with a box cutter cutting his arm. The man remained locked in the bedroom until Deputies arrived. The wife had retreated into another bedroom where she reportedly had access to a handgun. She complied with the Deputies order to exit the room and was taken into custody without incident. A box cutter and a pellet style handgun were recovered from the bedroom.

Deputies conducted their investigation and subsequently transported the suspect to the substation to speak with a Detective. The suspect was then transported to the Oakland County Jail where she was lodged. The victim refused medical treatment at the scene and agreed to seek medical treatment on his own.
