MSP Investigating 3 more Non-fatal shootings in Inkster

INKSTER, MI – On Sunday January 13th, 2019, 1/13 troopers and detectives were dispatched to the following locations at the following times for non-fatal shootings in the city of Inkster:shooting investigation

Birchwood/Division- 2 47 PM
Pine/Spruce- 3 15 PM
Sherbourne/Mt. Vernon- 4 30PM

Dispatch received a call for shots fired in the area of 29611 Birchwood (Birchwood/Division). 2-3 suspects ran from the area. Two vehicles and two houses were struck during the exchange of gunfire. No victims were reported from this incident.

Spruce/Pine: 911 received a call for shots fired near 4355 Spruce. A stolen vehicle was located abandoned, still running, and with bullet holes in it. Troops were later advised that they had two victims from this scene at a local hospital that had gun shot wounds

Sherbourne/Mt. Vernon:
Dispatch received a call for shots fired near the area of Sherbourne and Mt. Vernon. When Officers arrived they located multiple shell casings. No victims or property were found to be struck on scene. No victims from this scene were reported.

Investigation is continuing to determine if these are related to each other or the non fatal shooting that occurred Saturday night. More information will be released as it becomes available. If you have information on any of these incidents call 734.287.5000.
