Pontiac Woman Victim of Attempted Sexual Assault

PONTIAC, MI – On Sunday February 3rd, 2019, at 10:08PM, a Pontiac woman reported that she was the victim of an attempted sexual assault on Dwight Avenue.

Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 100 block of Dwight Avenue on the report of an attempted sexual assault. The 22-year-old Pontiac woman stated that shortly before calling 9-1-1 for help, she was walking near the intersection of N. Perry Street and Joslyn Rd when she was suddenly grabbed by an unidentified black male who dragged her into a vacant field. She stated that the suspect partially pulled down her pants and was in the process of taking his pants down when she kicked him in the knee. The victim began to scream. The suspect fled on foot through the field. The victim was not injured.

An Oakland County Sheriff’f Office K-9 Unit responded to the scene. The K-9 Unit attempted to track the suspect. The search was terminated when the track was lost. The victim stated that she did not get a good look at the suspects face. Detectives will be continuing with the investigation.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 30-years-old with facial hair. He was dressed in a black sweat jacket and black sweat pants.
