Detroit Man Charged in Dearborn Fatal Shooting of Livonia Woman

DEARBORN, MI – Allen Michael Sherrill, 27-years-old, of Detroit, has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of Junika Hardy, 28-years-old, of Livonia.

On March 1st, 2019, at approximately 7:50 p.m., Dearborn police officers responded to a 911 dispatch regarding a fatal shooting at a location in the 17600 block of Michigan Avenue in Dearborn. Upon arrival, officers found Defendant Sherrill standing outside of the vehicle and observed the victim, deceased, inside the vehicle. Medics transported the victim’s remains from the scene.

It is alleged that, while riding as a passenger in the rear seat of the vehicle, Allen Sherrill fatally shot the victim. Further information will be made available at the preliminary examination.

Allen Sherrill has been charged with First Degree Murder, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Felony Firearm. He is expected to be arraigned today between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. in 19th District Court in Dearborn.
