HUNT Investigation Leads to $6000 Heroin Seizure in Alpena

ALPENA, MI – The Huron Undercover Narcotics Team (HUNT) arrested two men after finding evidence they were attempting to deliver over 40 grams of Heroin in Alpena.

Two suspects, 37-year-old Ryan Kaiser and 28-year-old Andrew Wikaryasz, both of Alpena, were intercepted as they attempted to deliver over 40 grams of high grade heroin from the Detroit area to Alpena. The investigation is ongoing and may result in further arrests.

Both suspects were arrested and lodged in the Alpena County Jail. The case was reviewed by the Alpena County Prosecutor who issued felony warrants charging both men with Delivery/Manufacturing of Heroin less than 50 grams, and Conspiracy to Deliver Heroin. They were arraigned in the 88th District Court. Both are being held on a $150,000 bonds.

For the Alpena area, this is a large seizure. 40 grams of Heroin is equal to about 400 uncut doses and has a street value of approximately $6,000.

HUNT was assisted by MSP Troopers from the Alpena Post and an MSP K9 Team.
