Detroit Police Hunting for Non-Fatal East side Shooter [Video]

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating and identifying an unknown male suspect involved in a non-fatal shooting incident on the city’s east side.

On Friday April 19th, 2019, at approximately 12:10 p.m., in the 19100 block of Van Dyke, a 23-year old man was assaulted and shot by a male suspect at the location.

The victim pulled up to the gas station in a Red 2001 Dodge Ram. Upon exiting he began talking to the suspect. As the victim was walking away, the suspect produced two handguns and began assaulting the victim, then shot him. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and listed in temporary serious condition. The suspect fled the location on foot south on Van Dyke.

Prior to this incident the suspect was seen with a woman who may have information pertaining to this incident. Detroit Police needs your assistance in locating this individual as well.
