Mt. Clemens Man Charged with Assault With Intent to do Great Bodily Harm Less Than Murder

MOUNT CLEMENS, MI – On June 4th, 2019, at approximately 5:25pm, Macomb County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Sunset Manor Apartments on N. River Rd. for an assault in progress.

A 56 year old male victim out of Mt. Clemens had been assaulted with a sword and was bleeding from his face and hands. Deputies learned that the victim had been in a verbal argument over money with a 35 year old female out of Mt. Clemens. Another male, Christopher Harrison, 55 out of Detroit, heard the altercation and attacked the victim with a sword. The victim was knocked to the ground, however, was able to get the sword away from Harrison. The victim had several cuts to both his hands and face but declined medical treatment. Neither Harrison nor the female were injured.

Harrison was arrested and charged with one count of Assault With Intent to Do Great Bodily Harm Less Than Murder Or By Strangulation (felony). Harrison was arraigned on 6/5/19 in the 41-B District Court of Clinton Township on the above charge. He received a $7500 bond (10%) and is scheduled to return to court on 06/19/19 at 8:30am.
