18 yr old Arrested for Multiple Home Invasions in Ottawa County

ZEELAND, MI – The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office has arrested an 18 yr old Holland Twp man for the Home Invasion of an Occupied Dwelling.Home-Invasion

The suspect was taken into custody in Zeeland City early yesterday morning, Thursday June 13th, 2019, and has been questioned by Sheriff’s Detectives.

At about 6:30am this morning a home owner called and reported a suspect in the home on Foxwood Trail in Holland Twp. The suspect was confronted by the owner and the 18 yr old male ran from the home. Sheriff’s deputies responded and attempted to locate the suspect who had fled.

After a short time a male matching the suspect description was taken into custody in the city of Zeeland. That man has been identified as the suspect in yesterday mornings crime.

Through investigation is has been learned the arrested man is also involved in at least 3 other home invasions within the last month in the general area of 112th and James St in Holland Twp. There was nothing taken nor was anyone injured in any of these incidents. These incidents have occurred between the hours of 5am and 7am. All of the homes that were entered were unlocked.

The suspect has been lodged in the Ottawa County Jail for Home Invasion and the investigation continues. His name will be released after arraignment.
